Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Last updated: 20 August 2026

The short version

We collect almost nothing. This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies, and it sets no cookies at all for ordinary visitors. If you send us a message it becomes an email to our team — it is never written to a database. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we never have.

01

Who we are

Evonetics Technologies (“Evonetics”, “we”, “us”) is a software engineering and technology consultancy based in Kochi, India. We operate this website and are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this policy under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”).

Registered address: 4E, MYS Highland, Kakkanad, Kochi – 682021, Kerala, India.
Email: rakesh@evonetics.tech
Phone: +91 86065 00110

This policy covers this website only. Personal data we process inside a client engagement is governed by the contract for that engagement, not by this page.

02

What we collect, and why

There are exactly three ways we receive personal data here.

  • The contact form. Your name, your email address and the content of your message. We use these for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. All three fields are required — there are no optional or hidden fields collecting anything else.
  • Job applications. Our careers page invites you to email us directly. Whatever you choose to send — your CV, a covering note, links to your work — reaches us as an ordinary email and is used only to assess your application.
  • Your IP address, briefly. When you submit the contact form, our server reads the IP address the request came from in order to enforce a rate limit and stop automated flooding. It is held in the server’s working memory for a few minutes, is never written to disk or to a database, and disappears entirely when the server restarts.

Under the DPDP Act, we process your contact form and application data on the basis of the consent you give by voluntarily sending it to us for the purpose stated above. The rate-limit check is carried out to keep the service secure and available.

03

What we do not do

Much of a privacy policy’s value is in what it rules out. On this website we do not:

  • run analytics of any kind — there is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no PostHog, and no equivalent;
  • embed tracking pixels, advertising tags, social media widgets or any other third-party script;
  • build profiles of visitors, or make any automated decision that affects you;
  • sell, rent, trade or share your personal data with anyone for their own purposes;
  • use your enquiry to add you to a marketing list. If you write to us about a project, you get a reply about that project.

One consequence worth stating plainly: the fonts this site uses are served from our own server rather than from a font network, so simply loading a page does not reveal your IP address to Google or to any other third party.

04

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. You can browse every public page without a single cookie being stored, which is why you will not find a cookie consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

A session cookie is set in one situation only: when a member of Evonetics staff signs in to the private administration area of this site. That cookie exists solely to keep them signed in. It is never set for visitors, and it carries no advertising or tracking function.

05

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and correspondence: retained in our mailbox for 12 months from our last exchange with you, then deleted — unless the enquiry has become a client engagement, in which case the records we are required to keep are governed by that contract and by Indian tax and company law.
  • Job applications: retained for 12 months from the date you apply, so that we can consider you for a role that opens later. Tell us at any time if you would prefer us to delete your application sooner and we will.
  • Rate-limiting IP addresses: minutes. They exist only in memory and are never stored.
06

Who else can see your data

We keep the list of companies involved deliberately short. Each one processes your data only on our instructions, for the purpose named.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our infrastructure and delivers the email that your contact form submission becomes. The AWS services we use for this site are located in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region, in India.
  • Microsoft — our team mailboxes run on Microsoft 365, so an enquiry or job application you send us is stored and processed there. Microsoft operates a global infrastructure and may process this data on servers outside India, under the safeguards set out in its own privacy documentation and data protection terms.

We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to do so — for example in response to a valid order from a court or a competent authority. If that ever happens we will tell you, unless we are prohibited by law from doing so.

07

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you. Exercising any of them is free.

  • Access. Ask us to confirm what personal data of yours we are processing, and to give you a summary of it and of who we have shared it with.
  • Correction and completion. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything that is incomplete.
  • Erasure. Ask us to delete your personal data, where we are not required by law to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent. Withdraw your consent to our processing at any time. This is as easy as giving it — one email is enough — and does not affect anything we lawfully did before you withdrew it.
  • Grievance redressal. Raise a complaint with us about how we have handled your data, and receive a response.
  • Nomination. Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these, email rakesh@evonetics.tech. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to ask you a question or two to confirm your identity before we act — we would rather do that than hand your data to someone claiming to be you.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

08

How we protect your data

This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. Access to our mailboxes and to the administration area of this site is restricted to the members of our team who need it and is protected by individual accounts.

The strongest protection, though, is structural: this website collects very little and stores almost none of it. A contact form submission is never written to our database, so there is no archive of visitor enquiries on this server to be breached.

No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affecting your personal data does occur, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

09

Children

This website and our services are intended for businesses and working professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18, which is the age the DPDP Act treats as the threshold.

If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email rakesh@evonetics.tech and we will delete it.

10

Links to other sites

Our pages link out to places like our GitHub profile. Once you follow a link away from this website you are on someone else’s property, under their privacy policy, not ours. We would encourage you to read it.

11

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it. Material changes — a new category of data, a new company processing it — will be described here rather than folded in silently.

This policy was last updated on 20 August 2026.
